Suilven Summer Dawn : Part 2

BackMountain BackSSD Part 1 BackSSD Part 3

The eastern and western summits of Suilven glow red, as the rising sun breaks the NW horizon and shines upon the north facing flank of Suilven. The most dramatic view of Suilven is from Canisp, and it is only on the longest days (when the sun rises in the NE and sets in the NW) that the first and last light strikes the northern slopes of the mountain. The cloud inversion in the glen beneath hides Loch na Gainimh.
